Leadership is a word used in the pubic and private sectors today to describe the courage of one's character or the vision needed to mobilize groups, companies or individuals to achieve goals or standards they might not otherwise have been able to do but for a leader.
John Michael Spinelli has met this definition of leadership time and time again. His leadership forged new paths and created new initiatives that leveraged people and resources in ways others said couldn't be done. The Neighborhood Business Roundtable, the Neighborhood Assistance Fund, the Columbus Youth Corp, the Southwest Ohio Information Center and other efforts too numerous to mention here, would not have been possible but for Spinelli's talent for bringing people together around a common theme or vision.
